WaterScout SMEC300 Soil Moisture/EC/Temp Sensor (6′)

WaterScout SMEC300 measures Soil Moisture, Electroconductivity (EC/Salts) and Temperature. Whether you are measuring potted plants in a greenhouse or turf on a putting green, knowing the salinity of the root zone is critical for healthy plant growth. Irrigation, fertilizers and crop depend all impact salt concentrations. High levels can damage the plant, low levels can lead to nutrient deficiencies. The SMEC300 sensor is a capacitance type soil moisture sensor. Carbon ink electrodes provide a large measuring surface for electrical conductivity (EC) and calibration is simple! You can connect up 4 sensors, depending on the weather station you are connecting to. WaterScout SM100 measures Soil Moisture or Volumetric Water Content (VWC). Maintaining a healthy soil moisture and water balance is essential for producing high quality plants. Under watered plants suffer from nutrient deficiencies, stunting and wilting. Conversely, over watered plants are more susceptible to disease pressure and less tolerant of dry conditions later on in their life cycle. Extreme over watering will suffocate the plan and lead to root death. The SM100 sensor is a capacitance type soil moisture and responds immediately to changes in soil moisture content of better irrigation decisions. It is calibrated for mineral soils or soilless media and installs easily into a 3/4″ (1.9cm) hole. This sensor can be installed permanently or can be used to take spot measurements. You can connect up 4 sensors depending on the weather station you are connecting to. Data can be read with the FieldScout Soil Sensor Reader (Item #6466) (Includes a 6′ (1.8m) Cable)

The Watermark Soil Moisture Sensor measures soil moisture from 0 (saturated) to 200 (dry) centibars This sensor can be connected to a 3000, 2000 or 1000 Series WatchDog Weather Station or any of our WatchDog Pups. It can also be read with a FieldScout Soil Sensor Reader (Item #6466) but requires an adapter (Item #6450FSADPT) (Includes an 11′ (3.4m) Cable)
Watermark Soil Moisture Sensor (25′ Cable)

The Watermark Soil Moisture Sensor measures soil moisture from 0 (saturated) to 200 (dry) centibars This sensor can be connected to a 3000, 2000 or 1000 Series WatchDog Weather Station or any of our WatchDog Pups. It can also be read with a FieldScout Soil Sensor Reader (Item #6466) but requires an adapter (Item #6450FSADPT) (includes a 25′ (7.6m) Cable)
